Production Blog: Starting my commercial
Hi pals!
Today, I'm starting the process of making my commercial.
The first thing I had to do was decide what I'm going to edit on. I chose CapCut, since it's a free, easy to use app. And since it's on my phone, I won't have to export videos to my computer, which is usually a hassle.
I've decided to make a few changes to my plan as well. I realized that I don't have a lot of videos of me as a baby, so I'm going to scrap that part of the video and instead just stick to videos of me that are more recent. Ive asked a BUNCH of my friends to send me videos of us together. I didn't realize that I don't take a lot of videos of myself...
Obviously, I do have some of my own though. I think I'm going to include more videos than pictures, since I think they are more fun and interesting to watch. I've even chosen which ones I'm going to use; fifteen in total.
When I uploaded them all to Capcut, I realized that the commercial is going to be way too long, so my next step will be deleting all the videos that aren't good enough. Right now, the videos include mostly my friends and me hanging out and having fun. I was planning on including more sailing videos, but I realized it might be hard since they are in a different format than all the other videos I'm using. I also included some of just myself, showing off my outfits or just messing around.
I have yet to choose what photos I'm going to put in, but I think it'll be easiest to decide on that after I do everything else.
I do believe I have an official song to use though! It's called "recently," by Liana Flores. It's a quiet, slow song, which I think is perfect for looking back on memories.
There is obviously quite a lot left to do, but that's for next blog.
Until then!
