Reflection Blog

Image
Hi pals!       In this blog, I'm going to do a little bit of self reflection. I was given specific questions to answer, so let's get started!     1. What technology did you learn to use?     Well, first of all, I had to learn how to use Capcut. I will say that it was definitely a learning process. It took me a while to figure out how to format my videos, in terms of horizontal or vertical. I actually talked about this a bit in my past production blogs. I also learned how to upload videos to YouTube, although I couldn't figure out how to do it without losing some video quality. Once I uploaded my video to YouTube, I learned how to upload it to Blogger. I used the shortcut way to do it, but I also learned how to do this long way where I have to copy codes and stuff.      2. What did you learn about the process of putting a project together?     One thing I learned is how time consuming it is. It took me so long to figure out what pictures and videos I was going to use, w

Production Blog: Officially Finished!

Image
Hi pals!     I have two very excited things to share with you!!     First off, tomorrow is my birthday! I will officially be 16. I know I talked about my birthday in my intro blog, so I thought I'd let you know! I'm not really doing anything to celebrate, because my best friend got COVID. But, my parents and I are going out to dinner, so I guess that'll be my mini celebration.     Tomorrow is also the first FLHS Writing Club meeting! Writing Club is the club that I made at my school, and it's essentially just a fun club where people can get better at writing and express their creativity. I guess it could also be considered a mini birthday celebration, since I'll be bringing donuts and a lot of my friends will be there. I'm super excited.     Anyway, going to something a little more relevant, I have officially finished my commercial!     I just got done, and I'm super happy with it. I really didn't change much since the last blog. I basically just m

Production Vlog: Completing My Commercial

Guess what pals?      I'm almost done with the commercial!           Last blog, I told you about how I cut out all the fluff from my videos and formatted them so that they're horizontal. That was a pretty productive day, in my opinion. But today, I've got even more done.      The first thing that I did was put all the videos in the order that I want them in. There's not really a specific way I ordered them, like chronological or anything. I just put them in the order that felt right. The first video makes sense, because it's my friends and I saying "Hi vlog!" I'm still trying to find what the perfect last video would be. I feel like it needs to be me saying "Bye!" or me running away or something, but I don't have any videos like that, so I'm a little stuck.           T he next thing I did was write my subtitles. After the video of everyone saying "Hi vlog!", I put a video of me showing off my outfit. Over that, I put th

Production Blog: Putting My Commercial Together

What's up pals?     The other day, I officially started the process of making my commercial. So, it would make sense chronologically that today I continued that process. (3)     The first thing I did was cut out all the videos that I think are unnecessary for the commercial. These mainly included the more boring ones or the ones that are super old. I also cut out all the fluff from the videos I did decide to keep, so now most clips are only 3-7 seconds long. This definitely helped shorten the length of it. Before, it was almost 3 minutes long, but now its less than 1!      I had a really difficult time formatting my videos. Like I've said before, I don't take a lot of videos. When I do, though, they're usually filmed vertically and not horizontally. So, the majority of my videos are formatted vertically. This posed as a problem since the commercial is meant to be horizontal. So, I had to completely restart the whole thing, making sure the commercial looks horizont

Production Blog: Starting my commercial

Image
Hi pals!      Today, I'm starting the process of making my commercial.       The first thing I had to do was decide what I'm going to edit on. I chose CapCut, since it's a free, easy to use app. And since it's on my phone, I won't have to export videos to my computer, which is usually a hassle.      I've decided to make a few changes to my plan as well. I realized that I don't have a lot of videos of me as a baby, so I'm going to scrap that part of the video and instead just stick to videos of me that are more recent. Ive asked a BUNCH of my friends to send me videos of us together. I didn't realize that I don't take a lot of videos of myself...      Obviously, I do have some of my own though. I think I'm going to include more videos than pictures, since I think they are more fun and interesting to watch. I've even chosen which ones I'm going to use; fifteen in total.            When I uploaded them all to Capcut, I realized that

Planning blog

Image
Hey pals!  In this blog, I will be planning my commercial, hence the title.  It's honestly really stumped me, because I have absolutely no idea what I want the final commercial to look like in the end. But, I do have a general idea on how I want to form it.  So, I plan on using two songs. Right now, I'm thinking "Never Grow Up" by Taylor Swift for the first half of the video. I'll use two or three pictures of little me, doing things that have shaped my current self. I have an adorable video of me waving and talking to a camera from when I was around 6, which I think I'll start with. Then, I'll show pictures of little me sailing, hanging out with my brothers, and more.  Once I get through that video and the pictures of little me, I'll switch the song (maybe fade out and then fade back in or figure out a way to make the two songs mix and then switch). The second part of the video will be older me. I have a bunch of videos of me hanging out with my frien

Hey pals!      I'm Ella Agnese, a sophomore at Fort Lauderdale High School. I'm fifteen years old, but my birthday is in less than three weeks from now! I'll be sixteen, which is meant to be the golden age where amazing things happen to me. At least, according to movies.           What are some interesting things I can say? Well, to start with the basics, my favorite colors are pink and viridian green. My favorite food is Chinese food, but I also eat a lot of meat since my family is from Argentina. I'm a competitive sailor, and I also just started playing tennis last January. I've actually gotten very good at tennis for someone so new. I've been sailing since I was five years old, and it's probably one of my favorite things to do. I sailed the Optimist from the ages of five to twelve, and then I started sailing a boat called the 29er, which I sailed for three years. Now, I'm starting a boat called the Nacra 15, and I'm super nervous.      I also
