It's. Done. Omg.

    Pals. It is bittersweet that I have to say this, but... we've finished the music video!! It has probably been the longest, most hill-y process ever. So so many ups and downs, especially on my part... However, I had so much fun making it, and I learned a lot. 

    Without further ado, let's talk about the process of the final editing. 

    So, Charlize came to my house at around 6:30 p.m. After a bit of catching up (of course) we sat at my desk and got started. 

    The first thing we had to do was transfer all the clips over to my desktop. It was soo tedious, because the files were always to big to send. What we ended up doing was just cutting the clips down to what we agreed we were going to use, and then we emailed it to my computer. 
   
    We had a little discussion about our favorite clips, and while I deleted the ones we didn't like, Charlize got the music ready. She used CapCut to add this one part to the song that we wanted, but wasn't at the other part of the song we wanted to use. It wasn't a huge change though, we just added the intro beats to the part of the chorus we wanted to use. Charlize did an amazing job of making it really seemless. 

    Once she was done with that, we added it onto Movavi. We started by putting each clip in order, obviously beginning with the scene of the girls getting ready. I had this idea to start it with the music not playing, and then as they talked it would start playing and reach full volume once the "story" started. It was super hard to execute, as the controls on the app were kind of weird, but it turned out being pretty good. 


    We called Sabrina a lot to show her what we had, and what our plan was for the rest of it. She gave us a lot of feedback, which was actually really helpful. 

    After about two hours, we were finally done. All of us were super happy with the final result. Honestly, I still think there were ways we could've improved it, but I think I'm just being nit-picky.

Hmmm… Decisions, Decisions

      What’s up guys! What’s going on? It’s been a minute since I’ve been able to blog without guidelines!      Sabrina, Charlize, and I had a talk today about roles in our final project. We don’t have a “team leader” or anything, so we need to decide who does what in order to make sure everyone gets something done. As in, who plays the characters, who’s doing the voice over, who’s actually filming everything, etc.      This is a really important step in the process since for our music video, we had some disagreement about it. We all agreed that we can’t let that happen again, so that’s why we did this.      So, to start, we determined our actresses. We talked about having me as an actress, but I honestly don’t really feel comfortable in front of the camera. So instead, Sabrina is going to play Madeline. Editing Blog: What's That? We're finished?

      WHAT'S UP PALS!!! I am superr hyped right now. Why? Because we're done with our opening sequence!      So, like with the music video, Charlize came to my house to edit. We used the same editing software, Movavi editor, to do our final project. First, she, Sabrina (who was on facetime with us), and I made a game plan. We went through all the scenes we already filmed and discussed which ones we'll use and what order they'll be in.      Then, we put them all into the software. The files were way too big to email, so I had to create a new Google account and back the videos up on Google Photos. This was the easiest way to get them onto my computer.      Getting them onto Movavi was a whole 'nother deal. For some reason, the videos downloaded in the wrong file format, so they didn't work with Movavi.
