Building the Website Part 2



Hi everyone! If you don't remember my last coding blog, I'll give you a little refresher. Basically, I tried to build the website for our movie from scratch. Safe to say, it did NOT work. I wasted a bunch of time working through mistakes and errors and eventually got so frustrated that I gave up. 

So, instead, I've decided to use an free online website maker. 

I looked into a bunch of different options that I saw online. There are some free ones that are a little too limited, and some pretty nice ones that I would have to pay for. Unfortunatly, I don't really have the money to be able to pay for anything, so I stuck to a free one. 

 I'm working with Wix.com right now. It's pretty simple in design, so I've been able to figure it out for the most part. I've been experimenting with different templates and layouts to find the best way to showcase our work. The drag-and-drop features make it much easier than writing everything from scratch. I haven't started building the actual website, but just checking out different features of the app to make sure I know how to use everything. I don't want another coding disaster if I can help it. 

I don't want to rant about my experimentation with Wix's designing features, so I'll let y'all go. In the next coding blog we have, I'll probably tell you about how I'm getting started with the actual making of the site. Of course, there's still filming stuff to do, too, so I might have some stuff to say about that!

It's Time... Making Our Idea Come to Life

    How's it going pals? It's been awhile...     Let me update you a little bit on what happened. Basically, I didn't get out of the hospital for another week after I last posted. They let me out, but I still couldn't walk or even sit up so I basically had to lie in bed for multiple weeks after that. And a couple days ago, I was able to start walking (not amazingly but well enough). Because of this, we immediately planned a day to film. 7     Even though I can kind of walk now, I feel kind of insecure about it. I look a little funny with the way I've been walking, so I asked Sabrina and Charlize if I could just not be in the video like we had originally planned.
